Colby Barlow has been named the Huron Tractor Attack Player of the Week, for the week of Feb 21-27.
The rookie winger was instrumental in helping the Attack end a losing skid, as potted 4 goals in the teams weekend matchups. Barlow was close in the pair of weekday games the team had, but broke through and ended his own 6 game scoring slump on Friday night, when he scored twice against the Kitchener Rangers. Barlow then added another two goals Saturday night in another big game against the Guelph Storm.
On the season Barlow now has 19 goals, and sits just three behind Bobby Ryan for the team record of goals scored by a 16-year old player. Barlow also sits just two goals back of the league lead in rookie goal scorers, but has scored his 19 in just 39 games played, giving him the best goals per game pace at 0.49.
With 20 games left in the Attackās regular season schedule, chances are high that Barlow sets the new team record for goals by a 16-year old.
