An Elmwood man has won $125,000 playing the lottery.
A release from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says Dennis Becker of Elmwood won while playing the October 21st, 2024 evening draw.
Becker, who works in the skilled trades, has been a regular player with OLG for decades. He loves to play Daily Keno, choosing his numbers based on past winning numbers that were drawn. While he has enjoyed some smaller wins over the years, he is now celebrating his biggest one yet, noting, “I was happy that a big win had come my way!”
Excited to share the good news, Dennis headed straight home. “I told my wife, and she was so happy for me. She likes to play her own games with OLG, but this win made her want to start playing Daily Keno,” he smiled. “I feel good. I can’t wait to do this again,” Dennis laughed.
He adds, “For now, I will put my winnings in the bank. I’ll also treat my wife and me to a vacation this winter, where we can soak up the sunshine,” he concluded.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on 10th Street in Hanover.
