It was a night to forget for the Owen Sound Attack in London.
Sam O’Reilly scored a hat trick and Sam Dickinson finished with four points, as the London Knights routed the Attack 9-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night at Canada Life Place.
Kasper Halttunen scored twice for London (46-8-2), which extended its point-streak to nine games. Dickinson, Evan Van Gorp, Easton Cowan and Henry Brzustewicz added goals.
Cole Zurawski had the lone one for the Attack (21-31-4-3), scoring in his fifth straight game and extending his point-streak to six games.
London led 3-1 after one, 6-1 after two and tacked on three more in the third.
Austin Elliott made 25 saves in the while, while Carter George stopped 28 taking the loss. Matthew Koprowski entered in relief in the second, allowing three goals on 10 shots.
London outshot Owen Sound 44-26 while going 0 for 5 on the power play; the Attack finished 0 for 7.

THE OUT OF TOWN PICTURE
The Attack end Friday night in ninth-place in the OHL’s Western Conference, one point back of the eighth-place Sarnia Sting and two points behind seventh-place Soo Greyhounds. Sarnia lost 4-3 in overtime in Kitchener, picking up a single point. While the Greyhounds fell 6-3 to the Brampton Steelheads. Owen Sound holds one game in hand on Soo, but Sarnia has one on the Attack.
Flint beat Guelph 5-3. What was a five-team race for the final three playoff spots in the OHL’s Western Conference is looking more and more like a four-team race for the final two. The Firebirds (26-27-2-3) have now won four in a row, creating a six-point cushion in the No. 6 spot in the standings.
Nine games to go for the Attack.
WRAY RETURNS
Attack forward Masen Wray made his return to the lineup Friday after missing the past 15 games with a facial injury. He was hurt in a fight with Barrie Colts defenceman Kashawn Aitcheson in January.
