It took a bit, but when the Attack offence starting rolling it didn’t stop.
Cole Zurawski had his first Ontario Hockey League hat trick, and Pierce Mbuyi and Harry Nansi each had five points as the Owen Sound Attack rallied from 2-1 down midway through the second period to beat the Erie Otters 8-3 Sunday afternoon at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
Tristan Delisle scored twice for the Attack (12-5-0-1), extending his season-long point streak to 18-games. Nick Sykora also had a goal.
Owen Sound won its third straight.
Dylan Edwards, Julius Saari and Brett Hammond found the net for Erie (5-11-1), which dropped its fourth in the past five.
The game was tied 1-1, and Erie took a 2-1 lead just six seconds into the second period as Hammond stole a puck from Attack defenceman Elliot Arnett and then put a shot past Carter George fivehole.
Delisle would score his second of the game at 13:13 of the second, tying it 2-2. It was the first of seven unanswered for Owen Sound.
Carter George made 27 saves in the win, while Charlie Burns stopped 31 taking the loss. The Attack outshot the Otters 39-30 while going 3 for 5 on the power play; Erie finished 2 for 3.
Next up for the Attack is a school day game in Sarnia Wednesday morning. It’s a 10:30 a.m puck drop.
