The Bruce County Public Library is celebrating the recent refresh of its Tara Branch this weekend.
On Saturday, January 10th, the library will be welcoming visitors from 10:30am until 1pm.
The Tara branch recently got new flooring, shelving, and a new circulation desk.
They have also created a dedicated children’s area to help make a more welcoming space for patrons of all ages.
In a media release, Arran-Elderslie Mayor Steve Hammell said, “Our library is such a special place in the Tara community, and it’s great to see it refreshed and ready to welcome everyone.”
The open house will be a celebration that includes speeches, cake, and refreshments.
Children and families will also be able to enjoy face painting by Whyllow’s Whimsies between 11 and 1 o’clock.
Library Board Chair Mark Goetz said in a statement, “The refreshed branch reflects our commitment to keeping the library a bright and inviting place for everyone in the community.”
