South Bruce OPP says an escaped convicted murder who has possible ties to Grey Bruce has been recaptured in Montreal.
Police say on July 6, OPP were notified of an escapee from a Quebec correctional facility on July 5.
Out of an abundance of caution, an alert about the escapee was issued as they had possible community ties to Bruce County and Hanover areas.
Police apprehended the escapee in Montreal and have cancelled the alert.
