Owen Sound Police have charged a woman who allegedly rammed her car into a police cruiser.
City Police say they responded to a call Sunday and found a woman inside a vehicle, who they determined was impaired.
“When asked to step out of the car, she instead started the engine, put it in reverse gear and rammed a cruiser twice, narrowly missing the two officers on scene,” Owen Sound Police say in a release. “She then fled the scene and almost hit another cruiser in the process. She was located a short distance away after her vehicle stopped functioning due to physical damage.”
Police say the woman was arrested, and subsequently charged with several criminal and Highway Traffic Act offences.
