The Municipality of Meaford is launching a new campaign to tell stories celebrating women whose leadership, creativity, and resilience help the community thrive.
“She Moves Meaford” is looking for community nominations starting on February 13th, to give recognition to women who help move Meaford forward.
Residents, customers, coworkers, and community partners are invited to nominate a woman in their lives.
The campaign welcomes nominations for women-led or women-owned businesses in the municipality, women who contribute to community life through leadership, service, or innovation, and women who work within the municipality who also would like to be featured.
Nominations are being accepted through the municipality’s website.
Selected stories will be shared throughout the week of International Women’s Day.
The municipality says that the campaign aligns with the Meaford council’s priority to strengthen community and support economic development as well as equity, diversity, and inclusion by focusing on women-led businesses and workplaces.
