Two men have been charged in relation to some recent alleged thefts from vehicles in Hanover.
Hanover Police say they arrested and charged a 31-year-old Mildmay man and a 35-year-old Hanover man after completing an investigation into a “series of vehicle entries and thefts” that occurred last month in a residential subdivision in Hanover’s northeast end.
“Police investigation identified two males entering or attempting to enter multiple vehicles parked in driveways. A wallet containing credit cards was stolen along with an undisclosed amount of cash, personal items, and tools,” Hanover Police say in a release. “The stolen credit cards were later used to make purchases at two local businesses in Hanover.”
Police say a 35-year-old Hanover man faces several criminal charges, including theft under $5,000, trespassing at night, and the unauthorized use of a credit card.
A 31-year-old Mildmay man is also charged with the unauthorized use of a credit card and other offences.
