The latest from the ongoing scenario that would see Owen Sound be the home for a Major Series Lacrosse club in 2022 has unfolded.
Major Series Lacrosse ( MSL ) has approved the shift of the former Brampton Excelsiors franchise to Owen Sound under Joe Norton’s ownership.
There is a segment of people connected with the Brampton operation who dispute Norton’s ownership of the club and his right to transfer the team.
Furthermore, the shift has not been officially approved by the Ontario Lacrosse Association as yet, but as Norton related to Fred Wallace, he doesn’t feel OLA approval is required.
