It was another successful year for the Grey-Bruce Celebrity Hockey Classic.
It’s an annual event to raise money for Easterseals, which helps children with disabilities.
This year’s NHL alumni participants included Darcy Tucker, Dave Ellet, Gary Leeman, Theo Peckham, Matt Belesky, Brian Savage, Joe Kocur, Troy Crowder, and Zenon Konopka.
The fundraising for the tournament is fairly straightforward: each team that participates is responsible for a registration fee of $1,500, and a fundraising minimum of $10,000. A total of 18 teams took part.
Those who take part have access to the Sports Celebrity Draft Gala, personalized team jerseys and socks in corporate colours, and an NHL great on your team and in your dressing room sharing their NHL experiences.
The tournament took place at The Plex in Port Elgin.
