The 170th Teeswater Fair will be taking place this weekend.
Festivities will take place mainly from Friday night until Sunday afternoon, but the unofficial start is a movie night under the stars featuring the film Hoppers at the fairground Thursday evening. t
Rhys Tiffin, who is a board member for the Teeswater Agricultural Society says that it’s fun-filled weekend for the whole family.
“It’s our 170th fair this year,” said Tiffin. “Memories in the Making is our theme.”
Friday night will be the opening ceremonies, and some high power action.
“We have our famous wing night, our motorcycle pulls, and entertainment in the beer tent,” he said, adding “Before that, we’ll have our snowmobiles that will be dragging down the fairgrounds.”
Saturday brings the Trucker’s Funfest, a Corn Hole tournament, and Big Truck Drags, and a Human Truck Pull.
That evening, there’s a dance.
On the final day on Sunday, the Teeswater Ag Society finished big with a demolition derby.
“We like to call it Derby Day,” he explained. “It’s our demolition derby at 3 pm, and to finish it off at 5 pm is our Combine Derby.”
Tickets are available through teeswaterfair.com.
