The Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce will a few all-candidates meetings ahead of the 2026 municipal election.
The chamber says the events will provide residents and businesses with the opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking municipal office and learn more about their priorities, platforms, and vision for the future of their communities.
Tiffany James, CEO of the Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce says in a statement, “Municipal governments make decisions every day that impact housing, infrastructure, economic development, local services, and the overall quality of life in our communities,” adding, “These all-candidates meetings provide voters with an opportunity to hear directly from candidates and make informed decisions on election day.”
The Owen Sound municipal all-candidates meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6th at the Bayshore Community Centre, from 7 to 9 p.m.
The Chamber also announced a mayoral all-candidates meeting for Owen Sound will be held Sept. 29 at the Bayshore.
There is also a Georgian Bluffs municipal all-candidates meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 8th at the Canadian Reformed Church on Grey Road 18 at 7 p.m.
