The Walkerton Capitals fell 8-3 to Fergus Whalers in Provincial Junior Hockey League Pollock Division action Sunday afternoon at Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex.
Kielan Kirkpatrick scored twice for Fergus (2-0), while Owen McCambridge, Mitchell Krasovec, Luckas Franchetto, Justin Ewald, Nathan Boyle and Joseph Bonter also had goals.
The Whalers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period and never looked back.
Hunter Stewart, Timothy Ireland and Dylan Becker had the goals for Walkerton (1-1).
Fergus outshot Walkerton 26-22.
